That Naked Dream
–or–
Men Writing Women:
In Gregaro McKool’s surrealist interpretation of the classic naked dream fifteen impossibly beautiful women go on a darkly comic quest across realities in search of homes that may never have existed in the first place. All because an educated white dude decided to write some socially-conscious erotic fiction. Read the first chapter.

Freelance Work
Making a regional fencing publication profitable in the 21st century is hard so if you think our vibe would work for your project get in touch. Right now we’re open to all kinds of crazy things but we’d love to work on some screenplays or in a group writing situation. Contact us through LinkedIn.
The Creative Pipeline:
- Hudson’s Boys (Webseries): Sometime between 1984 and 1988 Jules attended a party in Timmins, Ontario, where he saw an episode of a locally produced yet never-broadcast marionette-based Television show called Hudson’s Boys. With the magazine’s new web presence he’d like to track down the archival media and give it the platform he very much seems to think it deserves. If you have any information that could lead us to the recovery of this media please contact us on Mastodon. We will use the tag #HudsonsBoys to record our recovery efforts.
- Sex and Death or Victor and Morgan’s Search for Coffee (Novel): Celebrated urban planner and electric wheelchair user Victor is ‘thrown a bone’ by his home town to distract from a mayoral scandal through a new accessibility plan. When Victor finds more than he bargains for he enlists love-interest Morgan, a fifth generation Chinese immigrant who grew up on the reserve, to help discover the dark secret at the heart of his hometown in this exploration of social change and systems theory.
- Jules Octavian & The Alien (Screenplay): Jules Octavian accidentally triggers Earth’s entry into the galactic federation when he publishes this article, prompting the aliens to ask not to be taken to our leader but to County Fence HQ where scotch and cigars on the deck by the river await. It’ll all be very pleasant.
Merch:
We thought it’d be fun to have some merch. Think of this like buying t-shirts from a folding table outside a cheap concert venue: it will get better and in the mean time you’re getting in on the ground floor of…whatever this is. Visit our store here or by clicking one of the pictures below.
